Expansion & Restoration
The proposed project will be built on a 24-acre parcel known as the Iron Parcel, which used to consist of row housing and streets for the Pease Air Force Base. A stream restoration project for Hodgson Brook is also included in the plan. The project involves removing a 50-inch culvert and creating a new stream channel to allow for the daylight flow of the stream.
Creating New Jobs and New Treatments
Lonza, a custom manufacturer for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, is planning to expand its facilities across Goosebay Drive, with the potential to create approximately 1,000 new jobs to help respond to market demands now and in the future.
The expansion will merge 101 International Drive with 70 and 80 Corporate Drive to create a 43-acre parcel for Lonza’s campus. The plan build-out will consist of three new buildings totaling approximately 1 million square feet of gross floor area, two new parking garages and stream restoration for Hodgson Brook.
The project will be constructed in phases, with the shell of the first proposed building being the first phase.
